Owen the hippopotamus is an orphan who was found alone after the 2004 tsunami and was taken to Haller Park in Kenya. at the park he immediately bonded with Mzee, an Aldabran, a type of tortoise who is over 100 years old, born in 1881. The pair became inseparable and lead a happy life at the park.
