The leatherback turtle is the largest of all turtles, weighing hundreds of kilos, these animals have roamed the earth for ages. In recent times, their numbers have fallen drastically, in the Caribbean there is hope for a future. They get out of the water to lay their eggs, when they hatch, the young turtles are immediately in great danger as they try to reach the ocean. To help them survive, a team has been established to guard the beaches against poachers and maybe more important, to educate people about the importance of these creatures surviving.
