Raju the elephant had been kept as a slave for 50 years, wearing spiked chains around his leg to prevent him from moving well. An Indian vet couldn't watch it anymore and abducted the elephant at night. His wounds were treated and he was held at an animal sanctuary of Wildlife SOS.After a court battle with the previous owners it was decided he did not have to be returned to them. Raju is leading a free live now together with a big herd of elephants.
