Bat Rescued In Australia

June 6, 2016
An injured bat (a Grey Headed Flying Fox) was discovered by some kayaking fishers. The bat got stuck in a fishing lure left by someone and had a limited reach so was sitting in a tree during day time. This lengthy video shows the rescue mission. The animal was scared of his rescuer so wasn't to helpful and fell down from the tree. Once the bat was caught he was brought to an expert who took further care of him. The lure was removed and the bat made a full recovery, so he was released in the wild a couple of weeks later.
