Rescue

Sam is a dog that was hit by a car on Valentine's day of 2017 in Athens, Greece. He was left with two broken legs, he was rescued by SPAZ and operated on. The operation was successful, but the wounds became infected so wouldn't heal properly. During the long road to recovery, including seven surgeries, Sam's spirit remained intact. Amputation of one of his legs seemed the only option, but Sam and his rescuers kept on fighting, his case turned out to be SPAZ's costliest in 30 years.
