A hedgehog was found with a broken leg, as mobility is vital for hedgehogs, the veterinarian working at Wildlife Aid decided to operate her and created an external fixator to help the bone heal. After a month of rehabilitating, the pins were removed from her leg and a couple of days later, the healthy hedgehog was returned to the garden where she was found.
