Donkey With Rope Around Leg

March 29, 2018
Animal Aid was called to help a donkey that couldn't walk anymore due to a rope being embedded in the flesh after he'd been tied up by an abusive owner. Leon must have been in a lot of pain as the wound had likely been open for weeks. he was loaded in a trailer and at Animal Aid's sanctuary, the rope was carefully removed. The large wound was disinfected and a powder that would kill the maggots was put on the wound, after that, bandages were applied. It took a couple of weeks, but Leon eventually started putting weight on the leg again and made a full recovery surrounded by people who take a lot better care for him than his previous owner.
