Crest is a cute little dog that was scheduled to be euthanized before Vet Ranch decided to help him. He can't use one of his front legs at all and can only put a limited amount of pressure on the other, thus decided to walk like a human on only two legs! Since no further history was known about the dog, x-ray photos had to be taken to see what was going on. His left leg was broken and it clearly was an old break. His right leg had an even worse break which also looked very old. Besides those leg injuries he also had a broken jaw, meaning a lot work had to be done on the operation table. His jaw was fixed first and then his leg was splinted to keep it stiff and straight and allow it to heal. 6 weeks later, a small amount of progress was made with the left leg which is quite normal for such an old injury. The brace he got in his mouth was taken out and the jaw healed completely. In the end, Crest will always have some trouble using his front legs since the injury was so old it wouldn't heal properly, he does use the left leg a little more and can get around fine now.
